The Only Astrology Formula You Need

Astrology gets treated like this mystical, incomprehensible system that only "gifted intuitives" can decode. That's nonsense.

Once you understand the formula, reading a chart becomes pattern recognition instead of psychic gymnastics. And the formula is absurdly simple.

The Four Components of Every Astrological Placement

Planets are what is happening. They're the actors. The energies at play. Venus is love, relationships, beauty, values. Mars is drive, action, desire, anger. Saturn is structure, discipline, limitation, lessons. Each planet represents a specific kind of energy or life area.

Signs are how it's happening. They're the costume the planet is wearing. The style, the flavor, the approach. Venus in Aries loves boldly, independently, impulsively. Venus in Cancer loves through nurturing, protection, emotional safety. Same planet, completely different expression.

Houses are where it's happening in your life. The stage. The environment. The domain. Your 10th house is career, public reputation, what you're known for. Your 7th house is partnerships, marriage, one-on-one relationships. Your 4th house is home, family, emotional foundation. A planet in a house means that planetary energy plays out in that life area.

Aspects are how all these energies interact with each other. Are they supporting each other? Challenging each other? Creating tension or flow? A square (90-degree angle) means friction, resistance, something that requires work. A trine (120-degree angle) means ease, natural support, flow.

Put It Together and You Have a Sentence

Let's take an example: Venus in Aries in the 10th house square Saturn.

Break it down:

  • Venus (love, relationships, beauty, values)

  • in Aries (expressed boldly, independently, impulsively, directly)

  • in the 10th house (through career, reputation, public image, what you're known for)

  • square Saturn (with tension, restriction, delay, or lessons from Saturn's energy of structure and limitation)

Direct Translation:

A focus on love and relationships related to their public image through their work. They may approach connection with independence and directness. But there's friction between their desire for bold, free expression and Saturn's demand for structure, commitment, responsibility, or caution.

Astrologist Translation:

Essentially a "work hard, love hard" mentality, often experiencing intense ambition balanced by restrictive, karmic lessons in relationships. They are typically seen as passionate, independent leaders in their careers, yet they may feel deeply isolated or insecure regarding their self-worth and public image.

That's it. That's the whole sentence.

Your Chart Is Just Many Sentences Interacting

Every placement in your chart is a sentence like that. And your entire chart is just those sentences in conversation with each other.

You don't need to be psychic. You don't need years of study to start reading patterns. You need to understand what each component means, then put them together like building blocks.

Astrology isn't mystical gatekeeping. It's a symbolic language. And once you know the vocabulary, you can start reading.
